Brief Description

As part of the customer service team in a supermarket environment, a grocery store ensures that the “Grocery” area of the supermarket is well-maintained. The primary job duties include merchandising, stocking, product rotation, cleaning, and answering customer questions about the products and services offered.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning checkout counters and shelves, mopping and sweeping the sales floor, storage areas, and dairy coolers, including refrigerator glass.

• Operating back-end equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, packing machines, compactors, and scrubbers.

• Ensuring that any damaged products are returned to storage after being labeled as damaged.

• Monitoring inventory and reporting low stock levels or slow-moving products to the manager.

• Guiding customers to the correct aisle or shelf to assist with their shopping.

Pastry Clerk

Brief Description

The Pastry Clerk will use culinary expertise to mix ingredients to create unique and delicious items for our customers. As a decorator, the pastry clerk will produce alluring creations that customers wish to buy, as well as follow instructions for personalized cakes and other pastries. Organizational skills will be utilized to ensure that all orders are handled appropriately so that the pastry never runs out of ingredients for any of our products.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare doughs, fillings, batters, icings, and other components by measuring or weighing ingredients using graduated containers or scales to ensure uniformity
  • Use tools such as hand mixers, electric mixers, and cooking machinery to blend ingredients to create high-quality cakes or pastries
  • Cook prepared dough in ovens or on grills as needed, using molds, pans, or sheets, depending on the proper baking technique for the item
  • Decorate cakes and other baked goods, including custom-made decorations for birthdays, weddings, and other celebrations
  • Perform routine checks on raw materials to ensure they adhere to high-quality standards and are not expired or damaged
  • Inspect baked goods to ensure they are of the highest quality and remove any damaged items before they reach the display case

Brief Description

The Warehouse Worker position includes responsibilities for all aspects of warehouse functions, including receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing the product for delivery to the customer. At the same time, it requires that the warehouse be kept clean, safe, and tidy. Teamwork skills are required and being reliable to work for themselves. Ability to read, write, and solve simple math problems.

Responsibilities 

  • Safe operation of all necessary equipment in the warehouse area including forklift, pallets, compactor, cleaning machinery, and pallet jack.
